Mind How You Go is Skye Edwards‘ debut solo album, following her departure from Morcheeba. Despite anticipation by fans, the album achieved limited success in the UK as a result of insufficient promotion. It was more successful in other parts of Europe, particularly Poland, France, Italy and Switzerland.

All tracks were co-written by Skye Edwards, Gary Clark, Patrick Leonard, Steve Gordan, Pascal Gabriel; Jamaica Days was also co-written by Daniel Lanois.

Astazi de dimineata am luat-o pe ulei ca m-a depashit o blonda intr-un beemve pe trecerea de pietoni si mi-a dat si cu flit. Dupa aia a venit un prieten care ma sunase zilele trecute cand era mashina in service [nu va cumparati Fiat, service-ul e de cacat], cum spuneam, ma sunase sa ma intrebe daca poate parca pe locul meu. Eu i-am zis evident ca da si tata i-a bagat betze de chibrit in yala de la rezervor . Cel putin acestea sunt acuzatiile, evident nefondate…

Asa. Cinci minute mai tarziu si intr-o stare de spirit confuza ascultam cu interes radio guerilla da-de, da-de ma face ceva sa ridic un colt al gurii a zambet desi de mult nu prea ma mai fac poantele lor sa rad dar din gramada de prostii care plutesc pe langa noi pe unde e cel mai bun raport pret-calitate. Insa sunt crizat pe guerilla astia ma, imi fura playlistul. Stiu ca ma asculta pe ascuns si baga piesele din playlistul meu pe guerilla. Stiu asta cu siguranta, nu e paranoia desi mi se intampla din cand in cand sa aud voci. Altfel nu imi explic ca nu le-am mai auzit pe nici un alt radio si ca la 2 saptamani dupa ce pun eu o piesa repede apare si la ei. Azi dimineata n-a fost altceva decat Jason Mraz - I’m Yours care sunt curios pe care radio l-ati mai auzit.

Senzatia asta ma urmareste de mai demult, intr-o noapte am adormit cu guerilla on si m-am ridicat la un moment dat sa il opresc da’ m-am dus la calculator ca am crezut ca e playlistul din winampul meu. Dupa aceea m-am prins, hotii astia ma, mi-au luat playlistul, au mai bagat in el cate o piesa aiurea si comerciala ca sa nu ma prind ca e al meu si i-au dat drumul pe shuffle. Daca a fost si Anima Sound System noaptea aia, chiar nu mai zic nimic.

This CD/DVD two-pack was filmed (on Super-16mm film) and recorded in Sydney’s Horden Pavilion on July 21 and 22, 2003, during an exhaustive year-long world tour, and the medium-sized arena provides a fitting stage for the London-based rock quartet, not so grand as to overwhelm the music, but large enough to indicate their large and loyal following, which includes enthusiastic fans of either gender. Un altfel de Depeche adus de Dave, inregistrat in Paris in 5 Iulie 2003. Personal, acest concert m-a impresionat mult mai tare decat aparitiile live Depeche unde putine lucruri sunt live si mult mai multe sunt “mai putin” live (cine stie cunoaste de ce mister Fletcher bate din palme mai tot timpul) . Stilul acestui album nu mi se pare ca s-a indepartat prea mult de DM insa chitara lui Chandler, clapele lui Vincent Jones, basul lui Martyn Lenoble dar mai ales tobele si backing vocals ale lui Victor Indrizzo fac ca totul sa sune total altfel decat piesele cu care ne-a obishnuit Dave de-a lungul anilor.

What We Did Last Summer records the three August days in 2003 in which (it seemed) most of the Home Counties converged on rural Hertfordshire for Robbie Williams’s record-breaking Knebworth gigs. For the 375,000 fans (or pilgrims) who endured the massive traffic jams and the sweltering heat to attend the concerts, Williams is their pop messiah–an image the star seems content to cultivate throughout the two-hour set. Opening the concert in the style of another who wowed the masses, the stage curtains fall to reveal Robbie hanging upside down like Houdini in an escapologist costume; and like that master showman, Williams manages to keep his audience spellbound too. Despite the tens of thousands at the gig, Robbie does his best to interact with the audience, utilising his charm in an almost impossible attempt to persuade the masses that he’s performing individually to each and every one of them. Various items of Robbie’s attire are thrown into the audience, and one good-looking female fan is pulled from the front row, an event that Mr Williams uses to his own benefit by consensually sticking his tongue down her throat. He also takes advantage of the size of the audience and the fading light, by requesting that those with cameras use them at the exact same moment. Like a galaxy of pulsating stars, the camera flashes look spectacular, an effect that could only have been witnessed at the time by those lucky enough to be on stage.

Consisting mainly of greatest hits and tracks from Escapology, the show connects the familiar with the lesser-known songs. Nonetheless, despite this mix of old and new, there’s a slight air of weariness about the gig. Maybe it’s the plethora of other Robbie DVDs available, his sheer over-familiarity, or perhaps, as the star himself suggests, now that he’s reached the pinnacle of his career he has nowhere else to go. Only time will tell whether the fans stay loyal, but this concert provides an excellent memento of Robbie on top.
